The bird and sun combined are powerful totems from the natural world. Signifying change, survival and tenacity. The sun as a compass plays an important role for birds and is used as a navigational guide whilst migrating. We wanted to create precious pieces that can be worn and reflect this special natural relationship.

Totems can be a natural object such as an animal or plant that can represent a group of people, such as a family, clan, or tribe. They're commonly carved from wood or clay, then painted and serve as a sacred symbol of a group's ancestry or a revered object guiding and protecting you. Inuit tribes hoped that through wearing animal amulets on your neck or wrist would, through sympathetic magic, give them the natural attributes of these creatures.
