This unique signet ring features a pale sun 'cameo' (a motif that’s been sculpted in low relief with a contrasting colour background) and has been handcrafted and painted by us, Cit Ma Bon Bottega in our studio on Lake Constance in Southern Germany.
We've sculpted it from the highest quality clay and hand-painted each piece individually.
The cameo has been sealed with two sumptuous layers of resin that not only increase durability but also ensure this little beauty shines when worn. The cameo is set onto an adjustable, hammered gold-plated, artisanal brass ring band, handcrafted by an independent European studio.

The clay cameo measures 1.5 cm. The width of the ring band measures 1cm. The adjustable band’s inner diameter measures 1.5 cm and expands to 1.8 cm.

Cameos were first used during the Egyptian times as a document seal that represented royal authority and identity. The cameo was further perfected by Roman artisans who carved portraits and mythological scenes, using materials like sardonyx, onyx, and glass paste.
